Still talking about Ghana's historic victory at Egypt 2009. I'm sure you must have heard the 'behind the scenes' of Black Satellites' victory. I mean the Prophet T.B. Joshua's factor. It is no longer news that President Atah Mills of Ghana is a good friend of the Synagogue man. The latter provides spiritual direction for the former. I learnt that President Atah Mills consulted the Prophet before the final match against Brazil, and the Prophet had told him all was well, that the match would be in Ghana's favour. I learnt the Prophet told them that Ghana would win the match on penalties if Ayew took the first kick. Lo and behold, it was Ayew who took the first kick for Ghana. The word of the servant of the most high God would surely come to pass, even when it looked as if Ghana would lose the match after two of their players missed their kicks.
The Bible says a prophet has no honour in his country. Who is losing as far as prophet T.B. Joshua is concerned? Nigeria, of course. He is our man, a Nigerian, yet we are not tapping into the grace upon his life. Hey, don't get me wrong! I'm not doing PR for him. I don't have the capacity. I'm not his church member and I don't think I'll step into his church for any reason.
I'm only expressing my views as one of the football crazy Nigerians. Ghana utilized this man of God to win the same tournament that the our own Flying Eagles had a nightmarish performance. What stops us from doing the same team? Let's put this issue straight: some pastors in Nigeria believe this man is not of God, that he is evil. Football crazy Nigerians wouldn't care if he predicts or prophesies that our national teams would win a tournament. Soccerbuffs would praise him to the extent of forgetting their pastors or denominations if his prediction comes to pass.
Now our qualification to 2010 World Cup hangs in the balance, while the same Ghana have qualified. We are annoyed with Amodu Shaibu and his players. We are annoyed with NFF. But we need a divine intervention. No be so? So what do we do? Let's use any weapon we have to get our ticket to South Africa 2010. If I were Sanni Lulu or Shuaibu Amodu, I would do like Nicodemus and go to Ikotun Egbe to see the Prophet. I would put my tactical knowledge of the game aside and ask the prohet for direction. I would tell the prophet to give me the first eleven as well as the formation for the Nairobi battle. God uses the folish things of this world to confound the wise. If the prohet told me to put Osaze in goal and Enyeama as the markman, I would obey his word. Furthermore, I would tell the prohet to pray that the Mambas beat the Carthage Eagles silly. I would also tell him to pray for me so Nigerians would allow me to take the Super Eagles to the World Cup.
I know my pastor may be annoyed with me if he read this. I'm sorry sir. I'm ony speaking the mind of soccer loving Nigerians. We all want to watch Eagles play at the World Cup. And like that blind guy in the Bible, whose sight was restored by Jesus, we would say we don't care if T.B. Joshua is of God or not. All we know is that once we were on the verge of missing the World Cup again until he helped us prayed to God. Or how many of the pastors that say his is devilish have prayed about our qualification to the World Cup? For we soccer crazy Nigerians the end justifies the means.

Nice to join the world of bloggers
Hi dear,
At last I was able to deal with that stupid boy called 'procastination'. My blogspot could have been on over a year ago if not for that little, stinking devil. I think I dealt with him at a very good time. The time is 4.38a.m. as I'm writing this. Some people are somewhere, trust Nigerians, binding and loosing. They have cast the devil into the desert. I don't want to say the Sahara desert because I don't want to compound the woes of that place. I should think of desperate Naijas that travel to Europe through that route. I can't be part of it lailai.
I too have cast that devil called 'procastination' out of my blog life, never to return again. Don't ask me where it went. I don't know too because I didn't specify any place when I cast him out of my blog life.
Come to think of it, devil is somehow powerful o. The thing be say he no get salvation like Florence would say. You're wondering which 'Florence'. Na my Florence, iya eleja, my mum.
When you want to pray don't you bind the devil so your may be answered. Even in our churches, we bind him every now and then. Before any service commences we bind the devil for our prayers to be answered. I think the devil has a way of loosing himself immediaately the service is over because we still bind him again when we meet for another service the next day.
As for this blog I want to assure you that the devil is tied permanently with chains and fetters. I didn't hear your thunderous 'amen'. It is so in your life too. This is just the introduction. I shall continue to update this blog regularly for your enjoyment. If you log in in three days time you would find what this blog is all about; it's uniqueness and the like.
CONGRATULATIONS TO GHANA
I must congratulate the Black Satellites of Ghana on winning the FIFA U'20 World Cup. It was no mean feat. At last the jinx was broken over Africa. An African country has eventually won the trophy. What made the victory unique was the fact that it was won on African soil. It was won in Egypt, the place of civilization. I think there is a lesson to learn here: it is only Africans that can find solutions to the problems bedeviling the continent. We know where the shoe pinches us. I am not downplaying the roles being played by the Western world to bail Africa out of her woes. They are trying, really. The truth is that we Africans hold the key to open the door of deliverance unto mother Africa. Believe it or not, the future of Africa is great. Somalia, Sudan, Eritrea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and others shall get over their crises. Soon. Tyrany, corruption, war, poor service delivery, hunger etal shall be a thing of the past. Let me hear your 'amen' once more.
After we had failed on four occasions, I mean four final appearances, we made it on the fifth occasion. Perhaps you didn't know, i'll give you the analyses.
Nigeria made it twice to the final of this championships in 1989 and 2005, but she lost to Portugal and Argentina respectively.
Before her current feat, Ghana too had made it twice to the final in 1993 and 2001, but lost to Brasil and Argentina. But yesterday was for the whole Africa.
There is something I found interesting, somewhat coincidential, in Ghana's victory. In 1993, Ghana were Africa U'20 Champions to to the U'20 World Cup in far away Australia. Then they had beat Cameroun in the final match of Mauritius'93 and then went all the way to the final in Sydney where they lost 1-2 to Brasil. Early this year they had defeated the same Cameroun, only to meet the same Brasil in the final match. This time they emerged the victors.
The U'17 World Cup starts in Abuja (Nigeria) next Saturday. Maybe an African country will win it. The ultimate, the grand daddy of all World Cup comes up in South Africa next June. Maybe an African country will win too. Or what do you think?
More to tell about Ghana's victory... next time.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
